Gunnedah Ride Afternoon

Garry Turner from Gunnedah has invited interested riders to come over and try out their new tracks. Apparently it is a mix of trails with varying difficulty with about a 5km loop and some smaller tracks. Details are:

Sunday 20th May, 1.00pm
Gunnedah Archery Club - about 12km out on the Wandabah Rd (on the RHS at the top of the hill)

Manilla Ride Day - May 2012

The social ride day at Manilla has been run and, well, done. A good mix of young and older riders formed into teams to do an hour around the 'short' circuit in a tag team relay format. The mix of young and old ensured some pretty even laps and some very competitive laps among various riders as the hour progressed. It was great to see everyone enjoying the sunshine and fun single track which was challenging for all.

Bike Park Temporarily Closed

Due to insurance issues, the Tamworth Bike Park is temporarily closed while the issues are rectified.

Please do not enter, work on trails or ride in the park (Cross Country or Down Hill) until the insurance is sorted out.

The race scheduled for 24 March has been postpones until further notice.

Tamworth Bike Park Update

We have some progress to report! The draft license is nearly ready from Crown Lands. The process will be that we will submit the draft to a solicitor to ensure that all of the changes required have been made and make sense. Then the draft will be sent to the MTBA insurer for comment and to make sure they will cover us with that license. In the mean time, we have mapped all of the existing tracks and are now plotting all of the existing "Technical Trail Features" to get a snapshot of where the park is now. This will form part of a development plan that will be submitted to Crown Lands.
